Paint, Sip & Relax, Waynesville! FAQ

Q: I can't paint, can I really do this?  

A: Yes. We promise, if you can have fun and hold a paintbrush, you can do this!

Q: What are the prices for a class? 

A: Our typical session lasts between 2 and 2.5 hours and is $45. As people paint at their own pace, we ask to allow a little longer for larger groups.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Studio By The Library that is temporarily housing Waynesville Art School is located by Waynesville Library. The address will be provided once you register.

Q: When do you post a new monthly schedule? 

A: We make every effort to post the calendar on the 15th of every month.

Q: At what time should I arrive for class? 

A:  We suggest you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the session to get uncorked & in your seat to enjoy your happy quarter-of-an-hour!

Q: Do you do reserved seating? 

A: Yes, we hold classes at specific times. To join a class, please view our calendar, select a painting you like and register online or call/email. Pre-registration is required for all classes.

Q: Will you have wine openers and cups? 

A: Yes, we supply wine openers, cups, and plastic partywear.

Q: Since it is around dinner, can we bring food? 

A: Yes, feel free to bring in snacks/small bites/ finger foods. 

Q: What should I bring?

A: For alcoholic beverages, you are welcome to bring wine and/or beer, no liquor. *Please note that it is the law that you have to be 21 years old to consume alcoholic beverages. We reserve the right to check your ID.* You are also welcome to bring nonalcoholic beverages.

Q: Do you have aprons/ smocks? 

A: We do have aprons for you to wear.

Q: Do I need a reservation? 

A: We do require reservations with payment to secure seats. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the start time and reschedule up to 24 hours before the start time. No calls/no shows will not be issued store credit. 

 

We reserve the right to cancel a paint night if we have less than 2 people registered. In such an instance we will offer you either a full refund or a credit.

Q: I don’t see a date that works for me and my group because of my busy schedule? Can I request a paint night that works better for my busy schedule?

A: Yes. If you don’t see a date that works for you and your group, we will be happy to accommodate your busy schedule if we can! To request a sip & paint night (or a family painting day), choose the painting you would like to paint for your party from our gallery (or send us an idea you have in mind), then call/text or email Waynesville Art School to request a party date and time that work well for everyone. We require a 2-spot deposit to secure the date. Submit the form below and we will get back to you right away! 

Q: What size is the canvas? 

A: We use a 11 x 14-inch canvases unless our guests choose to work on smaller canvases, such as an 8 x 10 inch or a 9 x 12 inch canvas.   

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: Yes. Our Thursday, Friday and Saturday sessions after 6 pm are for guests 18+. Family Painting Days with adult supervision and private parties are a fabulous way to include guests of all ages. Q: What is your refund policy?  

A: We require up to 48 hours advance notice by phone or email for cancellations in order to receive a store credit to be used at a future date. No calls/no shows will not be issued store credit. Please leave a voice message if calling after hours, 828-246-9869.


Waynesville Art School reserves the right to cancel a paint night if we have less than 2 people attending as well as for unforeseen circumstances (for which we will make every attempt to notify you at least 24 hours prior to class time). In such instances, we will offer a full refund or a credit.
